Online live private & group classes

To book & pay for classes: 

Classes are bought per bunch of 4 and must be used within 3 months. So if you buy 8 classes in one go, they must be used within 6 months, and so forth.

You & Virginie will decide on meeting dates and times via private emails. Once this is done, you will receive an email from French Truly with a link to your invoice, which you will be prompted to pay online.

After your purchase, you will receive a thank you and confirmation email from French Truly. You will also receive a receipt from the payment system Stripe.

Classes must be paid before they take place. For instance, in order to book 4 classes on February 1, 8, 15, and 22, you must pay all 4 classes before your first class on February 1.

To postpone classes: 

You can postpone a class for free as long as you give Virginie longer than 24 hour notice. If you want to postpone your class but let her know less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged in full.

If Virginie needs to postpone a class and gives you less than 24 hour notice, she will offer you an extra class for free.

To cancel classes:

Online courses

Online courses are bought directly via the web page COURSES.

After your purchase, you will also receive a receipt from the payment system Stripe. You will also receive a thank you and confirmation email from French Truly with your login information so you can access your French Truly Online School course(s) immediately  after your purchase. You will be asked to create your password the first time you login.

Once you purchase one or more French Truly Online School courses, there is no time limit for you to complete your course, which you can view & use as many times as you want.

Each course consists of a mixture of video, audio, and written files, which your username and password will give you access to. 

Considering the nature of the files contained in the online courses you are buying, video & audio files, the right of withdrawal here does not apply. Therefore you cannot exercice the 14 day right  of withdrawal and online courses bought directly via the web page COURSES cannot be refunded.

Immersion weeks

The price of one immersion week includes: 

French language classes. Any other classes taking place during the week: cooking class, art class, soap making class. Virginie’s time with you all day every day

The price of one immersion week does not include anything else, such as:

Flights. Hotels. Any transportation private or public. Food (apart from the food from the cooking class). Museums. More generally, anything that is not indicated as included

Each immersion group will not exceed 8 people.

A minimum of 4 participants is necessary to validate a group. If the group is less than 4 people, French Truly reserves the right to cancel the trip. If you have already paid a deposit, it will be fully refunded to you.

The general organization for the entire week will consist of French classes in the mornings & activities in the afternoons and evenings. However French Truly reserves the right to swap classes and activities with our French greeters around when necessary.

French Truly reserves the right to rearrange or cancel some activities if they need to be.

Example 1: If it is heavily raining on hike day, we might instead chose an indoors activity.

Example 2: If one of our French greeters is sick, we will postpone if possible. If it isn’t possible (calendars don’t coincide or greeter sick for longer than a week) we will cancel and replace with something else. 

The schedule contains 5 morning French classes out of 7 days as on the remaining 2 days, we will need to leave first thing in the morning, one day to go to Vienne, the other day to go to Lyon.

To book your spot, you will need to pay a 50% deposit. The balance will need to be paid 2 months prior our first day together. So if the immersion week begins on September 10, the balance needs to be paid before or on July 10.

You have 14 days from the day you pay your deposit to exercice your right of withdrawal and be fully refunded. After the 14 day limit, the immersion week cannot be refunded.. 

French Truly reserves the right to find an appropriate replacement for Virginie if she is unable to attend.

Withdrawal form

This form is to be filled and sent only if you wish to withdraw from your contract with French Truly, either for the live classes or for the immersion week. We remind you that online courses bought directly via the web page COURSES cannot be refunded and so this form so not apply for them.
